The Committee on Construction, Urban Development, Housing and Communal Services and Regional Policy recommends that the Verkhovna Rada should adopt as a basis the draft law on amendments to the Law “On Stimulating Development of Regions” (re development of depressive territories)

The Committee members considered 2 bills: the bill of the people’s deputy O. Yefremov (Reg. No. 2415) and the bill of the Cabinet of Ministers (Reg. No. 2415-1).

The bill No. 2415 suggests specifying composition of depressive territories and procedure of gaining the status of depressive territory.

The Committee members upheld the bill of people’s deputy O. Yefremov. According to them, its adoption will ensure further development of programmes on combating depressiveness of territories and execution of measures of state stimulating of such territories.
